Description

This is my neon version of Ken Sugimori's artwork for Toxapex.

Sun/Moon dex entries:
"Toxapex crawls along the ocean floor on its 12 legs. It leaves a trail of Corsola bits scattered in its wake.
Those attacked by Toxapex’s poison will suffer intense pain for three days and three nights. Post-recovery, there will be some aftereffects."

My thoughts
So at first Mareanie wasn't all that good but oh boy did that change upon evolution. A tanky nightmare to face and it sure knows how to make its victims suffer. Either in a gimmicky way with its signature move Baneful Bunker and mercilessly (ha, get it?) spamming Venoshock and Liquidation as well as Recover to heal, or it can be bred for competitive use with Haze against any setup, using Toxic to take the initiative with the poisoning, Scald to threaten Steel-types and keeping the Recover (healing is best for any wall) together with Regenerator and Black Sludge so it will heal pretty much all the time. Fun fact: its favorite source for nourishment is also available for breeding. Puts the whole "my children are so sweet, I could just eat them up" into a whole new perspective, eh? Creepy family issues aside, this one is to me as a Poison-type, what Mawile is as a Fairy-type. They both have their heads decorated with their primary tools for battle and I like how one uses that for the offense while the other is all about defense. It's a sweet parallel to me and part of the reason why I fell into an intoxicating love with the cute yet also dangerous Venomare, who is my adorable female Toxapex.
