Description

This is my neon version of Ken Sugimori's artwork for Pheromosa.

Sun/Moon dex entries:
"One of the Ultra Beasts. It refuses to touch anything, perhaps because it senses some uncleanness in this world.
One of the dangerous Ultra Beasts, it has been spotted running across the land at terrific speeds."

My thoughts
Totally could've been the most graceful Bug/Fairy-type I've ever seen in my live. Anyone else thinking that? No? Just me? Oh well... guess the Bug/Fighting combination is at least working with the High Jump Kick, that is seen on this one ever so often. Something else worth noting is the Ice Beam to shoot down all those mean birds (don't mention Talonflame though) and other things that fly all over the place. Gotta love how she basically trolls Mega Alakazam, Mega Aerodactyl, Electrode and even Deoxys (except its Speed-form) with that one darn point more on the base speed. That really supports the idea of a crazy fast cockroach lady. Indeed it is hard for me to deny the female monikers for Pokémon like this, just like how I tend to call Buzzwole and other masculine ones with words like him, his and he. Actually I don't get why the guys at Gamefreak want the gender neutrality in such cases if they put such emphasis on one side of the spectrum. It wasn't a problem with Cresselia or the kami trio, so why is it that designs like Meloetta, Diancie and others are kept neutral? Sometimes I'd really like to know the reasoning behind such decisions. Ahem... enough rant (maybe I got mad cuz' this one reminds me of Lusamine) back to the insectoid speed demon at hand. Pure physical, mixed and special sets are all possible here, though it is best to keep this glass nuke far away from things with strong priority. Even neutral hits can mean the red stop sign with this much frailty.

Since some have already seen the seven deadly sins in the UBs I looked at it too and to me Pheromosa represents lust. Unlike some others of the bunch there is not much need for interpretation here. Part of the name and many times the descriptions already mention pheromones and how any Pokémon would get infatuated on the spot (just imagine an Ability that would make Attract work regardless of gender, holy moly) This goes so far, that even the international police called this one "Beauty" in the codename. Ironically all of that is in a crass contrast with how she behaves like some sorta germaphobe, never wanting to touch stuff. Kinda reminds me of Lilithmon, who also has all the implications yet gets embarrassed when in a skimpy outfit. At this point I might as well put such things under a trope and call it the ironically erotic.
